Random Generation
New to Alpha 3, each island you explore is a completely unique experience.
Islands can have different size, shape, terrain, lighting, weather, starting equipment, tools, weapons, animals, plants, backstories and more.
Some islands are pleasant, others are impossible - Good Luck!
Construction Screen
New to Alpha 2 is a gravity free sandbox construction mode, allowing you to build massive and detailed buildings.
Build a house complete with fireplace, doors, windows, staircases, railings, lightbulbs, waterwheels and a bed.
Many more items and construction options to come in future updates!
Crafting Streamlined
We've completely overhauled crafting in Alpha 2, making it much more powerful and easier to use.
There's a new recipe system, which allows you to create new items by combining old ones.
We've also streamlined the interface, allowing you to quickly interact with your player.
Generate Electricity!
The last big feature in Alpha 2 is the introduction of an electricity system.
Building a windmill or water wheel attached to a generator allows you to power your home, and anything in it.
It's early days yet for this feature, but we're going to be expanding it a lot in future updates.

Survive on a Tropical Island
Overcome the weather, vicious animals, injuries, disease, dehydration and famine to build your home on a deserted island.
You start out shipwrecked, thirsty and alone. Start your campfire, find weapons and forage for food before the night sets in.
You scavenge what you can from what's washed up on the beach; but from then on, you're on your own.
Craft Your Own Tools
Hundreds of items interact in strange and unexpected ways.
Attach glow worms to spears to light your way. Attach explosives to make them deadly. Attach a rifle because - well, why not?
Craft your own shelter, bridges and walls. Build traps to snare animals.
Explore the Environment
Travel through beaches, caves and jungles. Swim through lakes and raft over oceans.
Search for exotic crafting materials in hidden and deadly locations.
Find your way home.
Construct Buildings and Rafts
New to Alpha 2, the Construction Editor allows you to build massive structures out of stone and wood.
Start out with the first shack to keep you warm at night. Build a small raft to cross a lake.
Then build a cabin with a fireplace to cook a meal and heal your wounds. Move on to two story houses with electricity generating windmills.
Random Generation
Islands in Under the Ocean are randomly generated, giving you a new experience each time you play.
Elements mix and match in interesting ways. If you're on a boar infested island, you'd better have washed up armed!
Islands can have different size, shape, terrain, lighting, weather, starting equipment, tools, weapons, animals, plants, backstories and more.
